Encouraged by his mother, he began to draw and paint scenes of cafés, churches and deserted squares around his home.  Reservations are not required.  This lecture series is presented by the Library and This Century Art Gallery, and is made possible through the Gallery's partnership program with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA).
